A Little History of Château de Seguin
Château de Seguin is in Lignan-de-Bordeaux, only 15 km from the centre of Bordeaux. On the right bank of the Garonne, the château is reached by small roads lined with vines, with sweeping views over the rolling hillsides!
Built in 1780 and carefully renovated, Château de Seguin looks like a fairy-tale château with its two slender turrets.
Winemaking has always been at the heart of the estate: the château is surrounded by 95 hectares of vineyards, within a 173-hectare property of valleys and woodland.
Its long cellars (chais) are still used to make and age red and white wines.
Your Wedding at Château de Seguin
The Reception Hall
Fully renovated in 2017, the reception hall seats up to 300 guests. The layout is entirely flexible, with round tables and comfortable chairs for your wedding dinner. The caterers have their own space with an adjoining kitchen, and there is an indoor bar, a DJ corner with a dance floor, and even a children’s room, so parents can dance until the end of the night. The hall is air-conditioned.

The Covered Terrace and the Courtyard
The préau, a 165-square-metre covered terrace, is ideal for the cocktail hour that opens your evening. The DJ and sound system can be set up on its terrace, with power connections already in place, and standing tables can create a relaxed "sunset cocktail" atmosphere. The préau opens directly onto the château’s 1,130-square-metre courtyard, perfect for carrying the party outdoors on a warm summer night, or for a brunch the next morning.

Wedding Dinner and Wines
Château de Seguin works with four approved caterers: Maison Claude Darroze, Les Trois Sens, Villacreces and Philys Traiteur.
For the wines, you can of course order the estate’s own: red and white Bordeaux Supérieur from its two properties, Château de Seguin and Château La France, alongside a selection from partner merchants and cellars. Ask for a tasting of the estate’s wines to be sure they suit you. The estate also has a vitishow, a small museum space telling the story of its wines.

An Outdoor Ceremony in the Park
Symbolic ceremonies are very much possible at Château de Seguin. The park, with its lawn and majestic trees, is a lovely setting for an open-air ceremony, and the château can lend chairs and a high table. Your cocktail hour or brunch can also be set up here, in the shade of century-old trees.

Staying at the Estate
Château de Seguin offers several places to stay for you and your guests:
- The château, with 530 square metres of living space, five double bedrooms and a suite, sleeping 12 to 14 guests. Every room has its own bathroom, and all rooms were renovated in 2019.
- The gîte, rated 5 épis by Gîtes de France, with six bedrooms and six private bathrooms, sleeping 12 to 13 guests, and a swimming pool for those staying there.
- The Lake House (Maison du lac), an annex of the château with two double bedrooms and a sofa bed, for 4 to 6 guests.

Justine & Jean-Charles. Their dinner took place in the renovated reception hall, with round tables dressed in white, delicate menus and flowers on every table, and their portraits drew on the warm stone walls of the château.
Hannah & Oli. Their celebration made the most of the outdoor spaces: a cocktail hour in the park, then long tables with white flowers set beneath the trees and under the covered terrace.
