A Wedding at Château de la Ligne, near Bordeaux

Marion and Jean-Benoit’s Unforgettable Wedding at Château de la Ligne

It is with real emotion that I look back on this beautiful wedding at Château de la Ligne. This is where Marion and Jean-Benoit chose to celebrate their wedding, in Lignan-de-Bordeaux, on the Right Bank of Bordeaux.

First of all, I was struck by the beauty of the place. The château stands at the top of a hill, surrounded by vineyards whose rounded curves follow the little valleys all around. Château de la Ligne dates from the 17th century. Its façade was inspired by the Renaissance châteaux of the Loire Valley, and it has been beautifully restored in an elegant medieval style.

As soon as I arrived, I joined Marion as she got ready in the expert hands of the talented hairdresser and barber Maëlle Poveda, who also got all the bridesmaids ready.

Meanwhile, Jean-Benoit and his best men treated me to the most joyful and funny groom’s preparations I had ever photographed! Good humour, jokes and silly poses, but also elegance, in his De Fursac suit.

Marion chose a stunning gown by designer Marjorie of Confidentiel Création in Saint-Émilion. In her hair and in her hand, she wore the beautiful flowers of Les Mauvaises Herbes, which I simply loved!

A wedding day full of surprises

After the emotion of a father seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, it was on his arm that Marion joined Jean-Benoit for their religious ceremony at the Church of Sainte-Eulalie in Lignan-de-Bordeaux.

Emotion, love, tenderness, tears and joy filled the whole celebration!

Then I shared a magical couple photoshoot with them, in the vines, then in their car, back in the vines again, and finally in the château gardens. An unforgettable moment…

They then joined their guests for the cocktail hour, in a warm and festive atmosphere. They had also chosen a photo booth, which everyone enjoyed and shared! The evening party then took place in the château’s beautiful Orangerie, to everyone’s delight.

Thank you
