An Engagement Session in Cap Ferret with Marie-Sophie and Sébastien

Engagement Sessions

As an engagement photographer in Gironde, I invite you to dive into this loved-up photoshoot with Marie-Sophie and Sébastien in Cap Ferret, on the Arcachon Bay side. Follow me into a whirlwind of love, in a picturesque and enchanting setting.

An Engagement Session in Gironde

This engagement session took place in Cap Ferret, in Gironde. An hour’s drive from Bordeaux, the Cap Ferret peninsula attracts many visitors, for its exceptional landscapes as much as for its architecture and its way of life. On one side, the east coast of the peninsula runs along part of Arcachon Bay. On the other, the west coast is lined with ocean beaches.

As an engagement photographer in Gironde, I know the area well, so I can tell you that the great advantage of Cap Ferret is the variety of its views and natural landscapes.

You can choose between the beaches on the Bay side, with their view of the little pleasure boats so typical of the Bay, or the Dune du Pilat, which you can see from the tip of the peninsula. And of course, there are the beautiful white sandy beaches, and the more wooded interior with its local vegetation.

An engagement session in Cap Ferret, in the village of L’Herbe

This time, I had the pleasure of photographing the engagement session of Marie-Sophie (whom everyone calls M-So) and her fiancé Sébastien. We decided to spend most of this couple photoshoot in the village of L’Herbe. It sits on Arcachon Bay, not far from Cap Ferret, facing the Dune du Pilat. A dream setting, isn’t it?

I had not been back there since I was a small child, and I still wonder why. The place is magical. The Hôtel de la Plage has not changed in 40 years, and it is as beautiful as ever after a refresh that makes it shine. Castaing oysters are just opposite, next to the colourful fishermen’s huts. The Bay is magnificent, with its little boats, each one prettier than the last.

M-So was so happy to live this moment. The session had been postponed for a long time because of lockdown, and then the weather had not been kind. Sébastien was a little nervous at first, but it did not last more than three minutes. This couple are so close!

I had the joy of being with them again for their wedding in October 2020, at the magnificent Château de Garde, a venue I already knew thanks to Julie and Stan’s wedding.
