Le Résinier Restaurant: Meena and David’s Wedding
The terrace of Le Résinier is an ideal place for a wedding drinks reception, especially in fine weather. Surrounded by pine trees and looking out over the pool, the wooden terrace invites the couple and their guests to relax and share the moment together.
Meena and David were keen for me to be there at that moment, to capture the atmosphere of their wedding drinks. Le Résinier is a friendly, epicurean place that combines South-West traditions with natural elegance, right in the middle of nature.
Couple photos in the forest
The couple wanted their portraits taken deep in the forest of the Landes de Gascogne. The south of Gironde is mostly made up of plots of pine forest, with a few towns scattered here and there, including Le Barp.
Despite a few hungry mosquitoes, we managed to take lovely, soft photos with a romantic and peaceful feel.
A word from the photographer
I had the chance to photograph Meena and David’s wedding in early September, south-west of Bordeaux. Meena is originally from Mauritius, an island I was lucky enough to discover on my honeymoon. I loved that island so much!
The civil wedding took place at the pretty town hall of Balizac, which I had never seen before. The mayor was lovely: she gave a friendly tone to a moment that can sometimes feel too short and too formal, and it brought out real emotion.
After the couple photos in the forest, Meena and David joined their guests at the Hôtel-Restaurant Le Résinier, near Bordeaux. The venue was a very pleasant surprise for me, as the decoration is beautiful. You almost feel at home!
Meena and David chose a three-hour coverage, which suited their celebration perfectly. For my part, I was very touched by this meeting, and I know we will see each other again!
