Tiphaine and Stéphane’s Romantic Wedding

I am delighted to share this wonderful wedding at La Maison du Fleuve with you.

Tiphaine and Stéphane’s wedding will stay with them as one of the most beautiful days of their lives. It was a sunny summer day, full of love and warmth, which the couple had planned with great care and to perfection. They chose beautiful places to celebrate their love: Saint-Bruno church in Bordeaux for the religious ceremony, and La Maison du Fleuve in Camblanes-et-Meynac for the evening. Here is their story, from the preparations to the very end of the party.

Stéphane Getting Ready with His Best Men

On the wedding day, I began by joining Stéphane and his best men for their preparations. They were all gathered in a hotel room, glued to the France–Australia football match being played at the same time. The mood was relaxed, but the tension rose as the match went on. In the end, France won two goals to one, to everyone’s relief.

A football fan, Stéphane chose to marry Tiphaine right in the middle of the 2018 World Cup, after four years together and the arrival of their adorable Augustin.

Tiphaine Getting Ready with Her Bridesmaids

After leaving Stéphane, I joined Tiphaine and her bridesmaids for their preparations. Tiphaine was shy and a little nervous, but she was in good hands. Cécile and Sophie from Chez les Sœurs took perfect care of her preparations, making her even more beautiful than she already was.

The Ceremony at Saint-Bruno Church in Bordeaux

Tiphaine and Stéphane chose Saint-Bruno church in Bordeaux for their religious ceremony. It was an obvious choice for them, as the church stands in their favourite part of the city.

Saint-Bruno is a beautiful 17th-century church in Bordeaux, considered one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in the region. It is dedicated to Saint Bruno, the founder of the Carthusian order.

The ceremony was deeply moving: the couple said "I do" in front of their family and close friends.

Couple Portraits at Villa Victor Louis

After the ceremony, Tiphaine and Stéphane wanted to return to Villa Victor Louis for their couple portraits. This historic Bordeaux house meant a lot to them, as they had already stayed there for a romantic weekend. The session was an intimate moment, full of love, for the two lovebirds.

Villa Victor Louis is a place steeped in history and prestige in the centre of Bordeaux. This magnificent 18th-century building has been fully renovated and offers an exceptional setting for weddings, business events and private receptions.

It was built in 1775 by the Bordeaux architect Victor Louis, who also designed the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, another of the city’s landmarks. The villa was built for a wealthy family of Bordeaux merchants and has had several owners over the centuries.

The Celebration Continues at La Maison du Fleuve

Finally, the newlyweds joined their guests for the drinks reception and the evening at La Maison du Fleuve in Camblanes-et-Meynac. This lovely venue lies on the banks of the Garonne, not far from Bordeaux.

La Maison du Fleuve is an ideal place to celebrate a wedding. It has a large 200 m² reception hall that can welcome up to 150 people. The hall is bathed in natural light thanks to its tall windows and offers a panoramic view of the river. Exposed stone walls, a beamed ceiling and crystal chandeliers give the room an elegant, warm atmosphere.

The terrace overlooking the Garonne is the perfect spot for the cocktail hour: guests can enjoy canapés and drinks while taking in the breathtaking view of the river.

The garden of La Maison du Fleuve is another of the venue’s strengths. It offers a romantic, pastoral setting for couple and group photos, and guests can stroll and rest in the shade of the trees.

Guests were welcomed for the cocktail hour in the gardens before moving to the reception hall. The decoration was breathtaking: the couple had chosen a romantic, elegant theme.

The second half of the evening, on the dance floor, was brilliantly hosted by Alexandre DJ, for Yanis Texier.

The day was remarkably sunny and very hot, just like the love these two lovebirds share.
