A Boho Chic Wedding at Moulin de Launoy, near Paris

Real Weddings

Today I would like to take you to the Moulin de Launoy estate for Virginie and Victor’s wedding. Photographing the wedding of two absolutely wonderful people in a place as majestic as Moulin de Launoy was a real honour for me.

The Fine Art style I hold so dear was a perfect match for the boho chic style of Virginie and Victor’s wedding.

Planning Your Wedding at Moulin de Launoy

Moulin de Launoy is a family-run estate in Seine-et-Marne, an hour’s drive from Paris. This beautiful, leafy estate hosts weddings and large receptions, as it did for Virginie and Victor.

The venue’s great strength is its peaceful setting, wide open to nature, while still being close to the capital.

If you love forests, trees and greenery, and you live in the Paris region, this place will win you over. Moulin de Launoy is an ideal home for a countryside wedding and for welcoming your guests. You will be enchanted by the beauty of the site, its elegance and its bohemian charm.

A former artists’ studio, Moulin de Launoy was bought and restored by a family with a passion for art, architecture and nature.

Virginie and Victor’s Countryside Wedding at Moulin de Launoy

The couple

Virginie and Victor are two people who love their work but also know how to take time for themselves.

As well as being cultured, generous, attentive and kind, Virginie loves nature and animals. It is no coincidence that she chose Moulin de Launoy as her wedding venue! A keen rider, Virginie has competed in show jumping at a high level for many years.

As co-founder and co-director of an influencer agency in the luxury sector, you might think she would care only about image in our modern world. In fact, Virginie is down-to-earth, approachable and sensitive. And the same goes for Victor.

Together they decided to live on a barge on the Seine with their two big dogs, without a TV, and they spend most of their free time renovating their barge or with her three competition horses.

A three-day wedding near Paris

Virginie and Victor chose to spread the most beautiful day of their lives over three days.

Friday was devoted to their civil wedding, at Neuilly-sur-Seine town hall.

We began with couple photos in the stunning Parc de Bagatelle and its botanical garden. Then we headed to the magnificent Neuilly-sur-Seine town hall, which I had never visited before. Its wedding hall is breathtaking!

A lunchtime drinks reception followed on their barge. That day, Virginie wore two superb wedding dresses!

On Saturday came the big wedding celebration at Moulin de Launoy. A humanist ceremony took place in the grounds, overflowing with emotion. Dinner was served outdoors under beautiful lights, followed by dancing in the "atelier" room.

The day after the wedding at Moulin de Launoy was brunch day! It was set up in the same place, outdoors again, in a more relaxed atmosphere. For this last day, Virginie had two more dresses, which of course I photographed.

Every dress Virginie chose for her wedding suited her style and her philosophy of life perfectly. The boho chic style revealed the bride’s natural beauty, both outer and inner.

A few kind words from the couple

What a surprise, and what emotion, when I read Virginie and Victor’s message after I delivered their photos! Their words moved me deeply.

"Tristan is a one-of-a-kind person, whose talent is matched only by his sensitivity. Endlessly kind and caring, he is an incredible guy and we are so happy to have crossed paths with him. He gave us the most beautiful memories of our lives (our wedding photos are beyond anything we could have dreamed of), and he has also become a friend who is dear to our hearts. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything, Tristan, and see you very soon!" Virginie and Victor (translated from French)
