A Couple Photoshoot Gift in Bordeaux: Mélody and Audrey

Portrait & Family

A photoshoot gift is an original, and deeply sentimental, way of showing the people you love how much they mean to you. Mélody and Audrey received a couple photoshoot as a gift from a friend, and we took their photos in the Parc Bordelais in Bordeaux, in winter.

A Photoshoot as a Gift

The gift came from Pauline, Mélody’s friend. Pauline has been married to Bastien for two years, and I was in fact their wedding photographer! Out of friendship for Mélody, and for Audrey too, she wanted to treat them, and gave them this photoshoot gift voucher after their PACS, the French civil partnership.

If you would like to give a photoshoot to someone you love, everything you need to know is on my photoshoot gift voucher page: today, a voucher is valid for one year and is sent to you as a PDF by email.

A 30-minute photoshoot gift voucher

Mélody and Audrey’s session lasted 30 minutes: that was the option their friend Pauline had chosen. In those 30 minutes, we managed to create beautiful photos with natural, romantic and gentle poses, just as the Fine Art style calls for.

A couple photoshoot in Bordeaux

Mélody and Audrey chose to have their couple photos taken in the Parc Bordelais, in the Caudéran district of Bordeaux.

The park’s first advantage is its location, just a few minutes from the heart of Bordeaux. The second is its size: it is vast and, above all, full of trees. Its trees are magnificent, and some of them are more than a hundred years old. The Parc Bordelais is a real breath of fresh air for the people of the city.

Mélody and Audrey’s Couple Photoshoot

Mélody and Audrey are two young women who had just made their commitment official, with a PACS. Reserved and sometimes a little self-conscious, they are nonetheless wonderfully attentive to each other.

Shy at first, they soon managed to forget about my camera, and they felt they could simply be themselves with me.

The atmosphere of the park and the company of the trees made them feel as if they were in a cocoon: safe, and away from prying eyes.

On that late morning at the end of February, the air was a little chilly, so pretty beanies were a must! It was the perfect excuse, because Mélo and Audrey collect them!

The warm atmosphere of nature put Mélody and Audrey at ease, which gave the session, and the photographs, a really lovely feel.

A Photoshoot Gift for Gay and Lesbian Couples

As a wedding photographer for same-sex couples, and in particular as a photographer for lesbian couples, I took real pleasure in helping Mélody and Audrey feel at ease.

I have been lucky enough to meet some wonderful gay and lesbian couples. Among them were Arnaud and Ludovic, who trusted me with their gay wedding in Gironde in September 2019.

To end this story, I will simply say that I was delighted with the images, and of course deeply touched by Mélody and Audrey’s kind words.

Mélody’s Google review

"I met Tristan when he photographed my best friend’s wedding a year and a half ago. I was able to see his professionalism at that kind of event, and I discovered how kind he is. Today I can add that he puts you completely at ease during a couple session. We were a little stressed and sometimes self-conscious, and yet we had a really lovely time with him. And what can I say about the final result! We went from photo to photo, amazed every time... We recognise ourselves completely in his photos; he managed to bring out our personality as a couple! We highly recommend him and will certainly call on Tristan again!"
