It was the first time Kenza and Lucas had stood in front of a photographer’s lens. And for a first time, it was quite a success.

I took the two of them to the Parc Bordelais for their couple photoshoot in Bordeaux.

It is a grand, green and peaceful park full of trees, not far from the city centre. It is perfect for a couple photoshoot, because it offers quiet corners away from prying eyes. That is exactly what reassured Kenza and Lucas, who were a little intimidated at first by this special moment in front of my camera.

I am always moved by young, new and passionate love, and it was a joy to take Kenza and Lucas’s couple photos. Their shyness touched me, but I knew how to put them at ease. I must say I am starting to have some experience of that!

Lucas contacted me a week before the session. He wanted to give his girlfriend this lovely gift to mark a year and a half together. Kenza and Lucas had dressed beautifully for the occasion, in light, pastel colours that suited my Fine Art photography style perfectly.

The session lasted 30 minutes and was intense: we tried lots of different viewpoints, and I really enjoyed being with them, because they happily played along!

After the session, here is what Lucas’s girlfriend wrote to me when she received her photos (translated from French):

"My boyfriend wanted to surprise me for our year and a half together by giving me a couple photoshoot with Tristan. We were a little embarrassed in front of the camera at first, but Tristan put us completely at ease with his kindness and his sense of humour. The photos we received just three days later went far beyond our expectations, with unrivalled quality and depth! More than a really enjoyable photoshoot, discovering Tristan was a true human encounter: attentive, kind, and with an incomparable sensitivity, he is a true Artist with a capital A.
