A Pessac Wedding at Château Pape Clément: Floride and Benjamin

Real Weddings

What a joy it is to dive back into Floride and Benjamin’s wonderful wedding at Château Pape Clément, in Pessac, just outside Bordeaux.

Château Pape Clément has not hosted weddings since 2025: this is the story of a wedding I had the joy of photographing there. More of those days are gathered on my Château Pape Clément wedding photos page.

Memories Before Floride and Benjamin’s Wedding

A year earlier, we had done a superb engagement session on Arcachon Bay. It took place in the village of Le Canon, among its fishermen’s huts, and then by the ocean, where we enjoyed an exceptional sunset. For that session, Floride also carried a magnificent bouquet made by Emmanuel of Avril-Mai.

A Unique Wedding Day at Château Pape Clément

So, a few months ago, we met again at an exceptional place: Château Pape Clément in Pessac. The château owes its name to Pope Clement V, who owned it in the 14th century, back when he was still called Bertrand de Goth.

Both living in London, Floride and Benjamin placed their trust in the talented Bordeaux hairstylist Maëlle Poveda, and in Cassandre Gois for the make-up.

After seeing each other for the first time, full of emotion, in the château’s beautiful park, Floride and Benjamin said "I do" in the lovely wedding hall of Pessac town hall. They were then married in the very beautiful Église Saint-Martin, in the same town.

The cocktail hour was perfectly orchestrated by the caterer Capdevielle. The bride and groom and their guests had great fun around the photo booth set up for the cocktail hour. It was hosted by the lovely Margaux and Amélie, who had come along to help me with it, and everyone laughed a lot!

During the festive evening, still so full of emotion and beautifully decorated with flowers by the florists Les Mauvaises Herbes, I met the talented DJ Roman of Amoren’Events, who got every single guest dancing.
