Julia and Edward’s Wonderful Wedding Day, in All the Colours of Love

"Colours, colours, I love colour!" sweet, lovely Julia told me a few months before her country wedding in Gironde with Edward. And indeed, as soon as the preparations began at the beautiful family house in Ligueux, in Gironde, near Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, I quickly realised how much creative energy Julia had put into her choice of colours: her bridesmaids’ dresses, but also her mother’s different outfits, all perfectly matched to her sublime bouquet by Lady Brindille, since renamed Césarine.

The couple’s religious wedding took place, with great emotion, in the beautiful Saint-Pierre church in the village of Les Lèves-et-Thoumeyragues. The ceremony was magnificent, with traditional Basque songs and simple but elegant flowers. The couple were radiant, in chic, relaxed outfits that perfectly reflected the country theme of their wedding.

Julia’s magnificent dress, made by Marjorie for Confidentiel Création, added to the intense emotion Edward felt as he discovered his bride in the church. The ceremony ended with Basque songs sung by the family clan, adding an almost lyrical poetry to the spiritual moment they shared.

The rest of the country wedding in Gironde

Once again, the weather more than played its part. The sky was perfectly blue and the temperature at its highest for the very start of summer.

The families and guests then enjoyed the cocktail hour and the evening party in perfect country conditions. A beautiful tent had been put up for the occasion in the middle of the family meadow, surrounded by superb bales of hay.
