A brother and sister photoshoot is an original, one-of-a-kind gift idea for a special occasion. Laureen and Mathys asked me for a sibling photoshoot so they could give their mum a lovely birthday present. Delighted and deeply moved by the result, they found that the experience brought them even closer together.

A Lifestyle Brother and Sister Photoshoot at the Parc Bordelais

On a beautiful spring day, we set off for the Parc Bordelais, in the Caudéran district of Bordeaux. Wooded and vast, this park is the ideal place for natural lifestyle photos while staying in the city.

The sun was shining brightly on the day of the brother and sister photoshoot. As I know the Parc Bordelais and its many hidden corners well, I took Laureen and Mathys deep into the greenery.

There, the trees acted as light diffusers, thanks to their height and how densely they grow. In the end, the result was exactly what I had hoped for. As I directed the portrait session, I placed my subjects so that the light was behind them. This creates a halo of light and a soft, natural atmosphere, just as the Fine Art style calls for.

Mathys and Laureen came up with this sibling photoshoot together, with one single aim: to make their mum happy on her birthday.

It was the first time either of them had stood in front of a professional photographer’s lens. Already close, they grew even closer during this brother and sister photoshoot. Two days later, when Laureen saw the photos, she was overwhelmed with emotion.

Laureen and Mathys’s photos are truly beautiful. There is no doubt that their mum will be just as moved when her children give her their birthday present.
