A Wedding at Château Duplessis, in the Médoc

Real Weddings

Château Duplessis, in Moulis-en-Médoc, hosted Laetitia and Anthony’s wedding in 2021. Let’s discover the couple’s wedding photos together, on a wine estate in the north of the Gironde.

Getting Married in the Médoc

Holding your wedding reception at a château is more and more popular. Couples interested in a wedding in the Médoc are looking first and foremost for an authentic experience, in a place that means something in the Bordeaux region and its history.

Celebrating your wedding in a secluded corner of the Gironde also lets your families enjoy a romantic weekend getaway, deep in the Bordeaux vineyards and far from the bustle of the towns.

The Gironde, a land of wine renowned for its heritage and its vineyards, attracts more and more couples. The Médoc is home to many châteaux where owners and their teams work with time-honoured know-how, which is also wonderful to discover during a wedding in the Gironde. That is exactly what Laetitia and Anthony discovered at their wedding at Château Duplessis.

Château Duplessis, Gironde

In the north-west of the Gironde, Château Duplessis is a vineyard that has been rethought for sustainable winegrowing, with care for the soil and therefore for the environment. The current owners, the Ferrier-Philippe family, are committed to this approach, because their values reflect a deep respect for the land. If the wines of this Médoc vineyard are so good, it is above all because the land is well looked after.

Alongside their main work as winegrowers, they also host wedding receptions. A reception room is available to couples who want a place to bring their families together for a wedding dinner and party in the Médoc.

A Wedding in the Vineyards with Laetitia and Anthony

I met this couple, so deeply in love, at the Bordeaux wedding fair in 2019. They came to my stand, and I knew straight away that I wanted to be part of the wedding they cared so much about.

Our journey together lasted two years, because Laetitia became pregnant with their second child between two lockdowns. So we moved the wedding date to 2021, to have the best possible conditions.

And so Château Duplessis won the day!

Laetitia and Anthony wanted plenty of support on their wedding day, including Pauline, their planner, and her assistant, who were absolutely lovely, as well as many well-known wedding suppliers. It was also the first time I had seen the sound, water and light show by Le Ballet des Eaux. It was enchanting for everyone!

Wedding Photographer in the Gironde

The Gironde is where I have made my home, and it is where I work as a wedding photographer. I love my region for all its cultural riches and its way of life. I help my couples choose the locations for their photos.

Often, when couples first come to me with their wedding plans, they have not yet decided on their venue. So I suggest places I know that might suit the atmosphere they are looking for. Whether by the ocean, on Arcachon Bay or among the vineyards, I have been exploring the Gironde for many years for my weddings and other photoshoots. You can trust me to give you ideas for wedding venues, such as Château Duplessis in the Médoc.
